I have an important 5k race on the 14th which i want to do well in, but i haven't raced for 2 months or so. Today is saturday and i did a hard mixed session of paces/lengths. I feel i need to get some hard intensity stuff so i want to do an 800m solo time trial or something like that.
What should i do
Sunday - long run? or 800m tt
Monday - Easy run or 800m tt
Tuesday - last hard session (things like 5X3min, with some 200's on the end)
Wednesday - Easy
Thursday - Short 'hard' session like some faster reps with longer recovery, some goal pace stuff
Friday -Easy
Sat- Off
Sun - race
I was thinking about, if not doing the 800m tt, running 2 miles at a kind of goal pace on tuesday with some 200's on the end or something, instead of a session.
I just want to feel race sharp
