Now this is pure hate, the most pure hate thread I've ever read on Letsrun.
I don't want my guilt or innocence being judged by someone too stupid to get out of jury duty.
Juries weren't invented by the constitution, they are a part of common law inherited from the rain-sodden english. The constitution is about federating a bunch of different state governments, and it didn't need to tell the states what a jury is, only that a citizen of the republic had a right to them.
The point being if you don't like juries, blame the english.

I've always thought that people should be able to opt out of jury duty in exchange for forfeiting their own right to trial by jury for life. Don't want to serve on a jury? Fine, don't. But then when you're accused of a crime, you don't get a jury either.
That's actually one of the best ideas I've ever heard of related to jury duty. Only problem is all the normal non-criminals would waive their right so then you'd have thugs, NAU runners and Loser Valley runners.
You don't need to serve. During the voir dire process, simply say,
"I hate all [insert derogatory term for whatever race the defendant is] and think they should all rot in jail for life, guilty or not!"
You will be released from duty.
Don’t worry, your use of “stricken” outs you as a sub-normal retard, so your chances of being called for jury duty are zero.
Odd way to bump a four year old thread.
Did he bang your wife?
