In my first meet of the season, I ran 3:54 and 1:53 on consecutive days. Both were significant PRs.
I haven't done very many distance-oriented workouts this season, so I dont know exactly how I'll race. I want to be able to take it out hard enough so that I can run to my potential, but not so hard that I die out at the end. What do you guys think my pace should be?
Here are some of the distance workouts I've done recently (none of these are threshold-- just examples of what I've been doing)
4x800 w/ 2:30 rest
2:22.5
2:20.79
2:14.89
2:10.45
5 mins jogging rest
4x400 w/75, 60, 45 sec rest.
64.8
64.2
63.7
63.7
2x4x400 w/ 1 min rest between reps and 3 mins between sets
64-65 for the first 4
62-63 for the last 4
Thanks guys!
