I am an average runner who is average across the board in all distances. My speed is probably the best, but have done no specific speed work in over nine months. When I met my coach 2.5 years ago, he said I should be a 10km/5km runner and targeted my training 'accordingly', but with the knowledge I have now, know he did one over on me. I have now parted ways with him. I am 6'2", 170lbs.
After a few months break, I am looking to train again. I'm pretty much starting from scratch, and I would say if I was to run a 5k right now, I'd run 18. 800m I would most likely float around 2.00. Tempo running is crap/always been a struggle.
Anyway, feeling a bit unmotivated and need some training advice for distances 800 - 3000.
