Hey I'm fairly new to the sport. (I only ran 1 year in HS) I'm a Freshman in college and I was wondering how to maximize my training in the summer. I currently run for a D2 school, but for non-running reasons am transferring to a small lower tier D1 school and looking to walk on. I ran an 8k steady state recently in 27:56 and a 3 mile tempo in 16:00 no race times yet. I respond well to higher mileage, so I was thinking about progressing from 80-100 miles a week in the summer? Any advice on how i should do this or what workouts I could incorporate? My goal for xc is 8k in 26:00
