What are peoples opinions on the requirement of doing general aerobic work for the 400m?
We currently do interval session throughout the year, with more emphasis of course in the winter. These sessions are things such as 8 x 300m with 2mins recovery and move to around 4 mins recovery this time of year.
Another session we do are split 600s (300m 30sec recovery 300m then 5 mins between sets).
I know of some 400m sprinters that do some steady running but is this required?
