Hey everyone. I've been trying to get to the elusive sub 18 now for about a yr. Ran a race yesterday in 18:38. This was on what was supposedly a certified course. I looked down at my watch at the end of the race to see it said 3.2. Only thing I can think is that the course had a lot of turning in it?? Why are some courses that are certified 3.15, 3.17, or even 3.2? Why the hell not 3.10? haha! I know it doesn't sound like much but another .1 adds like 30+ secs to your time. Or another .05 or .07 your talkin like 20 secs.
So I was a little disappointed w/ my time yesterday but seeing how my watch said 3.2 and it's a pretty accurate watch I didn't feel so bad.
Anyways, if the course was indeed 3.2 does that mean I'm a lot closer to sub 18 then I think, correct? or not necessarily?
Can't seem to get that last .1 crammed in there.
Thanks for any help.
