If the speculation is correct, this appears to be a very, very big finding.

Thanks for the link. Fascinating stuff, truly.
Now if we can just keep the religion/antireligion people out of the thread...
I was laughing at this passage:
"If they do announce primordial gravitational waves on Monday, I will take a huge amount of convincing," said Hiranya Peiris, a cosmologist from University College London. "But if they do have a robust detection … Jesus, wow! I'll be taking next week off."
So that's what has really been causing the global warming. It all makes sense now.

Zzzzz, means nothing to me.
Actually, it means direct scientific observation of the origin of the Universe, which, you know, is kind of a big deal.
i wonder what the gravity particles will be termed.

Nope. It was El Niño. Translation: The Niño.

I take it physics isn't your strong suit.
Will this answer the question whether God can create a stone so big he cannot lift it?
cool.
and it was only a couple weeks ago when NASA announced their findings of exoplanets that more than doubled what we previously knew was out there... good times for astronomy and related fields, I guess
I'm glad that someone has finally deciphered the microwave static. Hopefully, once they interpret the results of Bicep, we can pinpoint the location where the big bang occurred. That would be the true Holy Grail of physics.
