I doubt he does, but in an interview he talked about increasing his long run (and other runs) in terms of minutes and not miles.

I believe in one interview or article he specified "not badger miles."
Badger Miles are calculated by dividing total time by 7.
G. Mutai might run 8's, but I doubt Solinsky runs 7's.
Geoffrey Mutai runs about 6 hours a week at 8 minute pace.

Not the point. Badger Miles are 7 minutes of running, but even if Solinsky is running at 5:30 pace he could still run 120 "Badger miles" a week.
Perhaps the better question is if Schumacher still applies his Badger Mile system.
Or maybe he does and the athletes convert to actual mileage when they report there mileage to the media.
Is there a difference between his pro group and his college group that would make Badger Miles good for one but not the other?
Of course. And just like the Kenyans, he doesn't count his ten mile morning run, or warm ups and cool downs. So when you hear "120", you're looking at more like 210.
Really? Me too. Doesnt seem to work as well for me.
Such a strange concept.

I'm pretty sure he does still apply the Badger Mile system. There's an interview with Kara Goucher from a year or two back where she talks about how she was running like 115 "Jerry Miles". Which for girls he would count 8 minutes as one mile.
"Badger miles" when we have GPS?! Please...

You don't have a point and Schu is a loser.
I've heard he runs human miles. It tales a complex calculation to determine these. You take miles and multiply x 1. And time and multiply by 1.

The point of Badger Miles isn't easy calculation, it's to reign in the competitive spirit.

Yes, let's REIN in something that a runner needs more of.

Sounds like someone is a sore loser from the days when Schumacher and his guys destroyed your team at Big Tens.
guy who is obsessed with his gps and has to hit the daily mileage goal EXACTLY.
