Got to love that don't ya, ha. You losers just can't do international team sport. Think its time for you to make your own version of golf for you to play amongst yourselves just like all the other sports you invented.

what sort of money is there in this "international team sport" of golf? have fun with your pride. i'll take my escalade and summer home any day of the week over the "pride" of winning an international team sport.
no money, international sport is much more important than that.
Yeah, but at least the Americans don't have to go back home to a socialistic shithole.
no.... the have to go home to a pseudo-democratic shithole
Nothing pseudo about it. It's a republic thank you. Next.
US got their asses handed to them. Sergio really whipped
Phil M. big time. The Europeans showed team spirit big time!
My congratulations to them.
Since England invented football(soccer), why don't you take on the European all-star team in the next European Cup. Maybe you can make up your own version of football so Greece won't win the f'ing EuroCup next time.
Not a bad idea maybe england should take on a european select team. I think it would be a close game! by the way just a question how did the USA do in the olympic basketball (USA did invent the sport right!!)? just asking i cant remember!
I hear Phil is wanting to get into marathon running. Any suggestions for training?
Nobody is denying that the US have the best golfers in the world, but why can't they ever win the Ryder Cup?
A) the US is not used to competing as a team.
B) Americans just can't take the pressure.
The US basketball team won the gold medal in 2000. When was the last time England won the World Cup in soccer?
your talking about the past...thats all you have to live with! can boast the ryder cup now can ya!! lets talk about a real sport distance running how many golds did the USA win in that! I believe England had 2!!
How many countries play Basketball seriously? England won the World Cup in 1966 by the way.

A) Did it occur to you that the Americans just don't care?
B) Better ball and alternating shot play is a gimmick scoring system. Kinda like having two people alternating between miles in a marathon.
The Europeans had a great celebration after their win today.
They were jumping up and down, cheering, chanting, waving flags, pouring champagne, that got me really pumped!
Nobody ever cheers a missed putt when the Ryder Cup is on this side of the Atlantic. The Celebrations were justified and honourable as far as I'm concerned. No ripping up the greens by players wives before the match was over.
Go Monty, he was just to good.
Yeah, they save their good stuff, murder and mayhem, for the football field.
Cheesecake,
I thought both sides played with class and I'm glad to see you're still bitter about a match from 4 years ago. The reality is this: Europeans grow up exposed to and, oftentimes, paritcipating in matches against other countries. American athletes grow up competing against other towns, maybe other states; but rarely do we comepte internationally. It's clearly a different environment and it certainly means more to the Europeans than to the Americans, right or wrong. Talent-wise, I think the teams were evenly matched; but I think Europeans have a distinct advantage in an international and team environment. Paul McGinley(or whoever) is not a better golfer than Tiger Woods; but he's a better player than Tiger come Ryder Cup time.
Don't give us the justified and honorable garbage. More people have been killed in European football matches than in any other sports arena ever. Tell us about Hillsborough where nealry 100 people got slaughtered by spastic football fans. What would you rather have: obnoxious American wives or dead people laying on a football pitch in England?
