"EL G'S LIFE HOLLOW?
So Hicham El Guerrouj is the world's greatest miler. But to what purpose? I'm certain most of your readers will approve of his lifestyle and training regimen but I found its robotic nature appalling. Here is an under-educated man with a narrow range of interests who apparently makes no decisions for himself. I can't imagine that this Orwellian experience has prepared him for anything significant in life once his career is over. The way his life is being handled by government officials stands in stark contrast to the well-rounded path taken by Dr. Roger Bannister.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF THIS? Fair assessment or way off the mark and under-appreciative of the athlete/man?
