Does anyone know what the scarecrow said (on the Wizard of Oz) when he got his "Doctor of Thinkology" degree?
Answer: The sum of the square roots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal the square root of the remaining side - which is false.
Square roots?
Any two sides?
Isosceles?
If only all those mistakes cancelled each other out. But they don't.
Poor scarecrow.
it cracks me up when people make a poor argument like yours
you take it personally but his arguments are valid! problem is that it's beyound your ability to comprehrend.
so sad to bad
how do i put this you can she the forrest for the trees.
i agree the animals do have those problems.
but your wives degree ani't worth the paper that it's printed on if she doesn't get the concept.
the argument seems pretty clear to me. there is nothing to figure out it is what it is. if you had looked at the sum of his posts you would have noticed that your points have been addressed.
that the reason the animals have the majority oof the problems they do is because of mans obsessive desire to KNOW! so are you saying that with all our technolgy we live in blissful happiness? all this and what has it really gotten us? not a damn thing! so what the point? wouldn't it be easier and better to be one with nature? basically you feel foolish because you have wasted your time, when there was no need to do so. so you can't agree that there may be some merit to his argument!
ego, yes ego you feel good that you are "better" than others in someway. on your death bed you'll look back and wonder if it really meant anything. the answer of course will be no you really didn't do anything that actually improved mankind, just gotten us closer to self annahilation. how sad!
Huh? Sorry man, but what you wrote is just not terribly readable.
I'll try to reply though:
that the reason the animals have the majority oof the problems they do is because of mans obsessive desire to KNOW!
Not sure what your getting at here, but I am talking about wild animals. Specifically wild animals (these were in northern Alaska) that have never had any contact with humans or civilization.
so are you saying that with all our technolgy we live in blissful happiness?
No, not at all. All I'm saying is that there is no basis to think that wild animals are "blissfully happy" or any happier than people. Do you have any evidence that they are?

OK you lost me here sport. Would it be easier to be one with nature? I can tell you that you would have a shorter life span, higher levels of stress, have a much higher chance of suffering a horrific injury or dying a violent death, and be much more likely to starve to death. Whether that life would be "easier" or make me or you happier I don't know. Doesn't seem like a good bet, but your free to try it if you like (ala the kid in Into the Wild). Its your life man, make what you want of it.

The young lady who took my application explained that she had a 4-year Business degree
business degrees. meh. I run a business and for most positions I'd rather hire someone with an economics or engineering degree. Or somebody who has a liberal arts degree and is good at writing. Sort of funny that they have bachelor's of science degrees in business administration these days.
You've got CEOs like Washington Mutual's Kerry Killinger who have bachelor's in business admin. and MBAs yet still do a crappy job managing their companies. Wamu and Countrywide's economists knew what was up and management didn't want to listen.
i do admit it's not very good i was rushed, but it is readable. you did more than try you actually did it. have a few more tics this time around. regardless, 2 points for you.
"Not sure what your getting at here, but I am talking about wild animals. Specifically wild animals (these were in northern Alaska) that have never had any contact with humans or civilization."
check "you're" grammar, you ain't so purfect either bubb! that's just for starters.
you are kidding? there is no such thing as no contact with man. well not on this planet. what's even scarier is that soon it's will be no where in this galaxy and then, well you get the picture. then again maybe not. especially wild animals, they endure the cons and almost none of the pros of mans creations.
i must be smarter because i knew what you meant. you on the other hand have a hard time thinking outside the box. do you really want me to explain? i guess i'm giving you too much credit. what's the matter, the little wifey hasn't rubbed off on you?
"No, not at all. All I'm saying is that there is no basis to think that wild animals are "blissfully happy" or any happier than people. Do you have any evidence that they are?"
i don' think that i nor the op implied that. again what has our technology gotten us? really, are we truly any better off?

not really into sports, but thanks. being one with nature can't be any worse than what we have now. life span you say? how do you know, in biblical times people lived much longer. higher levels of stress? hardly, knowing that the world could be blown up at any time, being aware of all the diseases that we could succumb to, weapons of mass destruction, mass communication-used to spread fear and hatred to the masses. as well as george w bush, hillary w bush, john w mccain, hussein obama, religion and politics. the list is literally to damn long.
while it is my life i would not be free because your actions and those of others affect all of us whether we like it or not. it's funny because trying to explain this concept is like trying to explain calculus to a retard, no matter how hard you try they just won't ever get it!
NOW THAT'S A GRAND SLAM!

People who run real businesses don't use "meh." Maybe your business is a lemonade stand?
