I'm a college freshman that was recently sidelined by an SI joint injury. I ran once indoors-a 9:04 3k. This was a PR by about 20 seconds from a year earlier. In HS I ran 1:57 for 800m (by far my best PR) and only 4:32 for the mile, though I rarely raced it my senior year. I'm coming off of about six weeks of aqua jogging and elliptical training. Should I try at MD this season or move up to the 5k/steeple because I only have an aerobic background right now? I'm currently increasing my mileage back to normal-should be back up to 50 by April.
