OK, so it was made up primarily of athletes. Athletes who had to "toe the line" with Nike since there were sponsored by them.
There were mavericks like Lolo Jones and Nick Symmonds who were not allowed in the London Diamond league meet EVEN AS TAAF BOARD MEMBERS ATTENDED THE SAME MEET!!! Yet, nothing was done.
They got "organized" and got 100+ athletes to sign up. Nothing done.
They got Usain Bolt to sign on and other international athletes, yet... nothing done.
During this year's indoor championships one of those "bullies" reared it's ugly-assed head after the woman's 3000. The DQ stood.
HOWEVER, there were some positives with the non-Nike athletes walking hand-in-hand in protest. This was cool. The top two finishers in the men's 3,000 standing up and making a statement against their own sponsor? That was balls.
As I recall, a retired T&F operative offered his services to the TAAF. He had scored a billionaire backer, a major law firm and a PR team to head up the TAAF with the phone numbers to the Fortune 500 CEOs BUT he was turned down.
So, how's that working out for you now, guys?
