Just another fad. Run baby, run.
MORE KETTLEBELL!
He recommends men starting at 10lb? That's ONE THIRD of what most kettlebell programs suggest. And he does SEVEN different workouts? How about sticking with ONE?
If you want to get into kettlebells, start with the guy who started it all in the west: Pavel Tsatsouline.
Is the shape of the weight what matters? How is a kettlebell suddenly magically more beneficial than a dumb bell?

In what peer-reviewed journal can evidence of this improving explosiveness and running economy or just race performance be found?
The only strength training methods (not counting sprints) that have been shown to improve running performance are squats and plyos (SLJ, box jumps, hurdle hops and things of that nature).
the way the weight is distributed makes it more beneficial than dumb bells when doing certain exercises. No reason to spend the money if you have other equipment, however.
I am a kettlebar Instructor and will vow for its effectiveness as the top workout, BAR NONE. I train people on all aspects. Young people, star athletes, movie stars, older people and even professional athletes. I train so many you would be amazed. It is the best workout of all, BAR NONE!
kettlebells wont make you RIPPED and SHREDDED. you have to lift and squat heavy to get ripped and shredded.

I believe deadlifts have also been shown to be of benefit. Kettlebell swings are a nice alternative to romanian deadlifts.
Would Pre and Viren have used kettlebells? Ovett? Maybe Coe, Kara or Karnazes. Would Sampras have used them? Maybe Andy Murray.
No thanks, i'll stick to my barbells and dumbbells
Kettlebells were a big deal 150 years ago. Then dumbells took over and kettlebells went away because holding the weight in the middle made much more sense than a handle on the side. In recent years kettlebells made a comeback because... well, I don't know why. I guess people are always looking for variations. Maybe a return of indian clubs is coming. Find an ancient exercise method, pitch it as a new thing and profit.
