I think I have potential but never really had a proper coach in my opinion the past couple of years. I am 21, and want to get into some serious training because I am ready and have the time to do it. pr's 2009 17:15 5k 2:00 800, 52 400, 23 200, 4:38 1600m, 2010 16:40, 28:53 8k 4:20 1500m, 2011 1500m 4:11 27:52 8k, 1:13:30 half marathon, 2012 4:27mile, 9:18 3k, 26:30 8k, 2013 15:49 5k, 8k 25:53, till now I havent ran any races after cross. I know I am in better shape aerobically, but I risked it my last season of xc my senior year by trying to run 65-70 miles a week for the first time. I got injured after conference and had to take 2 weeks off in novemeber. I had never ran in the summer until the summer before my senior college xc season. I ran 40miles a week and 2 random experimental 70 and 69 mile week. I was able to tolerate it but I thought I was going to get injured. My annual mileage is 40mpw for 2013 35 for 2012, and 29 for 2012. I know that is very sad but I never was informed about this until this last year. I am now comfortable with 50-60s but not sure what to do. my past month or 2 has consistented of tempos few long runs and some shorter 5min repeats here and there. My question is can someone serious about running and perhaps coaching help me out. I want to join a running club soon but I know there are qualifying standards I must meet first. I think I am in shape to run faster times based on how much I improved last xc season but I want something structured. I can answer any questions about my training or anything you might need as well.
