Thanks coach Renato for the great job you are doing mentoring and motivating these girls and boys to think possible what previously was deemed impossible! So great to see Florence run such a great time! Always thought her best races were between 10k and half marathon. Priscah's coach should blame himself for not making proper arrangement including proper pacing for Priscah to go for the WR last week at RAK. She sure would have run around 65:30 there and Florence's would have just improved on that. About the marathon, specifically London this year, Priscah is a little way better than Florence at the moment. It is very possible that we will see 2:17 or better from her in April. Now, if Florence had just focused on the marathon without targeting the half marathon WR, we would be having a different talk. The two would go wire to wire and may even threaten Paula's 2:15 WR. Can't wait to see what these girls will do in the next three years, obviously with Tirunesh Dibaba, Tiki Gelana, Rita Jeptoo, Ednah Kiplagat and Mary Keitanyi being part of the equation.

Great insight, Renato. I was wondering if she trained through it from her training towards London or prepared specifically. This clears it up.
Two months should be plenty of time to get her ready. Maybe not for 2:17 but 2:18 high should be enough for a win anyway.
@Renato: any chance we're going to see her in the summer attempt the 10,000 WR?
