How can all of the sudden girls be dropping 50 seconds faster in a 2mile? This just shows how weak (overall) the elite girls competition has been in years past.

I agree. Something has sparked a bit of life back into American distance running. Not only are the girls running a lot faster, but for the past 2 years the Acadia track meet has held a 3200m race in which 16 boys have broken 9:00. It's good stuff.
What do you mean when you say "like 6 years ago"? Like?

Leave him alone. I was typing like a 14-year-old, lulz.
Jordan Hasay is the greatest role model in this century. Wow. I can you not admire a women who follows THE RULE?
I saw Jordan running the Lobo track yesterday. She looked awesome. I wanted to get her autograph but I was too scared!
There were HS girls who could run fast 3200m years ago. They stuck to the mile or 880y. And many hundred thousands fewer young women were competing each year.
You underestimate the effects of gender discrimination. The world has come a long way.
Read about title ix.
HS girls are like sheep. If an alpha girl runs a x:yz mile, the rest of them will run the same.

yes, the world has slid a long way...ever closer to a giant cesspool. Title IX is just 1 small sign of that. Moronic for govt to mandate the # of athletes, by gender, that colleges can award athletic scholarships to.
That's why 'male' sports have been eliminated from many colleges, while females are awarded golf scholarships if they can swing a club..
