Again, if he DNFs when a race doesn't go according to plan, where are the Olympic and WC DNFs?
That's exactly my point.
Sure, he can be bothered to finish at a WC. Obviously.
But because HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO RACE (from not entering much, and quitting a lot), he DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO WIN.

For what?
A list of annual DNFs by Rupp's rivals going back to 2010?
Here's a hint: there is no DNF record as consistent as Rupp's for any elite distance runner EXCEPT RUPP.
Unless you want to show me otherwise?

Rupp wins!!!! Rupp wins!!!! Willis can't respond woohoo!!
What are you on about with this? How often does Andrew McCutcheon play tennis against Andy Murray? How often has Farah raced Bolt over 100 or 200 meters?
Don't feed the troll. J.R. has such a pathetic life he tries to start pointless battles online.

I'm glad the name you chose alerts the rest of us to what you are.
Rupp is a quitter.
Leo Manzano finished a lot of horrible races (over 4 in the mile, over 14:00 in 5k road races)...remember Pre mile last year.
I'd rather Rupp drop out of some insignificant indoor race when a bone pops out in his foot rather than risk serious injury. He's been this successful this far because he's avoided being sidelined by bad injuries.

Agreed.
Exactly, cuz it's hypothetical. Just run the fast mile.

Pretty sure this thread has more posts than a hypothetical "Nick Willis 3:51" thread would.
You realize that YOU are posting on this "boring" topic, right?
This is silly.- Eugene - said in advance he may pull out due to pollen count.- at least One golden league 5000, he got knocked to the ground. - Occidental - he already ran a 1500 and was doing the 5000 as a workout. I think he dropped the year before as well after running a 1500 and then paced Ritz with Mo.Not sure what happened in Lausanne but I have seen Bekele drop from a 1500 in Hengelo.

Let's review Rupp's DNS/DNF record:
2010 Stockholm DL 5,000 - DNF
2011 Eugene DL 10,000 - DNS (warmed up, checked in!)
2011 Monaco DL 5,000 - DNF
2012 Lausanne DL 1500 - DNF
2013 Occidental 5,000 - DNF
2014 NB Indoor Games mile - DNF
(There are probably more. Add to the list and repost if you know others.)
It is only reasonable to conclude two things:
1. Rupp DNFs fairly frequently. (Do you think Willis, Lagat, Farah or any African runner has a DNF list like this?)
2. Rupp DNFs more frequently against legitimate competition than he does in time trials set up for him against college guys (the definition of Rupp-certified).
Rupp fell hard. Your video shows that.Your other statements are non arguments.

Here's a video to disprove one of your lies:

Asthma! Thyroid! Cuboid!
Tell us, why does "DNF Galen" just seem to have more excuses to drop out than any of his peers?
Fall hard, get up and finish. Rotich, the gut Rupp fell over, got up and finished. Rupp = DNF
Rupp fell, and rolled sideways as he fell. That is the way you want to fall when you do. A Rupp face plant would have been a hard fall.
You do realize your video shows Solinsky dropping out. Also, Lagat dropped out of a DL 5000 last year and no one cared. Rupp does it and its a crisis.

Show me Lagat, Willis or Farah's DNF record and tell me otherwise.

For Rupp it is a crisis because it proves he doesn't have the mentality to tough it out. True champions tough it out. True champions become real winners. Sadly, Rupp simply doesn't have what it takes. It is time to look towards the future, and hope a top runner comes along who can handle the pressure, and who can finish all their races regardless of how poorly they think they are doing in those races.
