He looked absolutely fantastic. An easy win (too bad about the DQs it might have been more competitive).
Sadly I don't know much about what Kiryu will be doing. It's rather difficult to find information on Japanese sprinter schedules. If Brett is out there, do you know what Kiryu's plans are for the remainder of indoors?
Wallace Spearmon runs 20.51 at Tyson (via Kevin Liao's twitter)
Marvin Bracy 6.50 at millrose (rounded up from 6.49).
#4 in the world.
Interesting watching Bledman and Bailey getting DQ FS. No wonder why--they were pressing to get out with Bracy. Bracy at age 20 is ahead of where Usain Bolt was at the same age, and could easily be the 60m world champ next month.
Nice thread.
Whole bunch of 5.7s and 6.6s in Canada!

Is that so?
This is getting more and more interesting then.

I didn't realize Bolt has ever run a 60m, or are you talking equivalents?
Bolt ran 10.03 just before his 21st birthday.
Bracy ran 10.09 last summer at 19.
Bolt ran 9.69 at 21, but that's still 2 outdoor seasons ahead of Bracy.
Here's some videos from today:
BIRMINGHAM:
60m
Heat 1 (Vicaut 6.48):

Final (Dasaolu 6.50):

Lemaitre went out in heats with a very weak 6.69 (he says he had a very poor start)
Wow Lemaitre's start was terrible. Hopefully things pick up for him. Is he going to World Indoors?

I'm talking solely about 100 meters.
Pavel Maslak ran (on the 15th and 16th respectively) a 6.65 60m and a 20.52 200m. Not too shabby for a 400m man! (I believe?)

Yeah, and he's only 22. Definitely a great young talent.
While we're on the subject of white dudes..Lemaitre could be a consistent sub-10 guy if it weren't for that consistently atrocious start of his. His top speed is something else when he's in form. Look up the video of his windy 9.98 win over Gatlin last year.
Interesting to see how Bracys 60m will translate to outdoors, the 60 is undoubtedly his better event as a smaller guy but with a start like the one he had at millrose he could hold on for some fast times.
6.48 for Mr. Bracy! Wow!
I have not kept up with this thread too well, especially as nationals was televised I assumed many of us were able to watch the events live (though it would be appreciated if someone could post the relevant videos though I will try to later)
In Immortal news: Kim Collins 6.49 wuuuuut
In European News:
Lemaitre win 60m French nats (no Vicault) in a very weak 6.67 but also wins 200m in a more respectable 20.58
Pavel Maslak runs a ER in the 500m with a 1:00.36 (correct me if I have the .xx wrong)
Can't find a video of Bracy, but here is Kim Collins:

Bingtian Su was also in the above race, coming in fourth (6.57 just of his 6.55 PR. He has run 10.06 for China)
Also here is video of Maslak's 500m ER:

Also correction to my last post, Lemaitre lost that 60m race I guess, though I'm not sure if any French beat him.
Big shakeup in the 400 semis.
Lalonde Gordon (the favorite) doesn't qualify. Santos also doesn't make it.
Big opportunity for gold for Clemons and Verburg.
I haven't been able to see the semi's yet, but very surprised by Lalonde and Santos going out. To be honest though, I think Maslak might be my favorite for gold (pending how the semi looked) given how easy and in control he looked in the heats (he was almost jogging the last straight because he knew he had it).
Will put up 60m videos briefly.
Don't underestimate Chris Brown. He looked pretty impressive in semi #2.
