Buy a Patagonia. Similar price. Equivalent or better quality. And you can feel good about the fact the person was paid a decent wage to make it and it didn't come from the same factories making Trump hats.

Yeah, North Face isn't a real company. It is not high quality despite the price. It is owned by VF Corp and is just a label:
If you're tall and thin and want high quality, I would recommend going with a Patagonia like the earlier recommendation . They have slim fit stuff that works well.
32 to 41 is a huge V. Are you jacked? 41 chest is pretty big for a runner. But maybe not at your height...
Anyway, do you plan to wear this running? If not, Bonobos and J Crew and other causal wear brands have really nice down coats similar to the ones at Barbour but in thinner fits. Not athletic, but really nice.

Wow. WOW. Lots of questionable advice/statements posted here.
Firstly, VF just owns them; they didn't create the brand and their is still some authenticity, despite TNF "selling out." I'm not a TNF fan, but they are certainly a real company with their own staff R&D and they make legitimate products. The quailty is not what it used to be and does not merit the MSRP, but they're not just a out-of-thin-air label.
Second, Patagonia generally does not have a particularly slim cut to their jackets. The quality is high, but not the best for a slim dude. If you're looking for a high-quality outdoor jacket, go with Scandinavian brands: Norrona, Peak Performance, Helly Hanssen, Haglofs, 66North. Also look at Arc'teryx trim fit, Outdoor Reasearch, Millet, Montane, Rab.
Third, do you understand jacket sizing??? 41 is a standard size for someone that height/weight. Ever owned a suit jacket??? The sizing shouldn't/wouldn't match your waist measurement. WOW.
Lastly... Running in a down jacket? WHAT? Have you ever met someone who runs in a DOWN jacket? I live in the mountains at 8000ft and spend a lot of time in down. Down jackets are for keeping you warm when you're not doing something aerobic. If you want to *do* things with your jacket and stay warm, buy it from an outdoor brand. If you want to look "good" walking from your door to the car, buy a Jcrew/Bonobos/Barbour overpriced nylon sleeve with 30-50g of low-grade fill.
You seem to be taking a lot of my comments personally. I'm sorry if I offended you.
You're pretty much right about everything. I meant that Patagonia has a line of slim fit stuff, meaning that the line is slimmer than their normal sizing.
I wear suits daily. I am 5'11 and 30 waist 38 chest. I asked if 32/41 was normal for his size. I wasn't mean about it. Jacked is a compliment where I'm from.
Also, I simply asked if he was using the jacket for activity or style, recommending some more style-based casual brands as he didn't specify the type of down jacket.
Have a good night man.
