Can Joe Vigil criticize? Just wondering who's good enough to be a critic?

McGwire and Bonds were on big time steroids. That's no secret. Double standard again in sports.

Have you forgotten about people who run doubles at meets and how awesome people tend to think those winning performances are?
You need to get your head out if the run less, run faster world.
College runners race doubles, if anyone else did this you would not think it such a good idea.
Nurmi won gold medals something like 45 minutes apart.
Sorry, 2 World records inside an hour, 2 gold medals inside two hours.
It's all for the media... Flotrack likes making a huge deal over it.

So you're saying they do nothing but easy runs for 7 days? I don't buy it.
They're just showing off. Creating buzz for Nike, and it's working.
No they're not. No one other than like 30 of us on Letsrun and dyestat are even aware of it. And I really don't think Nike would care either way.

5 X mile is more a little bit He does have some cool ideas but that is hammering the kid. Rupp is freak of nature though so maybe he can handle it[/quote]
Those miles are not fast for Rupp. They are slower than 10k pace with decent recoveries. The 4:03 mile (or 4:01 1600) was the only tough part of it. But remember, that is Rupp's 2 mile pace.
