Definitely doable.

125 ft dive into about 12 ft of water.
If anyone cares to know how to jump into the water at heights and go in the water feet first and straight. You tuck both arms into sides with one hand over mouth and other hand over eyes, when you jump you then cross one leg over the other. Of course from the spectator side it would be more fun to see someone do a cannon ball from the deck, heck I might even pay a couple bucks to see that on pay for view. It was kinda interesting watching Kareem A. J. jump off high dive. Just saying.

Big John. That tree jump is NOT 75 feet. It is 50-60 at best thus you were not jumping "60-70 feet". teens/adults that cliff jump at lake tend to be serial embellishers...
How dare you call into question the height of the Conowingo Cliffs! They are well known and legendary around these parts. Not only did I jump from 60 feet, but I drank a bunch of beers and got it on with both of the Casano sisters (on different occasions) at the cliffs in my heyday!
In the town of Mostar in Bosnia/Herzegovina there is a beautiful bridge (blown up by Serbs and Croats but beautifully restored). People jump off it in tourist season, waiting until enough passers-by have offered them enough money. (20 Euros will do it most days). It's 24 metres high - 80 feet. Many of the sporty/macho kids in town have had a go at some point.
They also have an annual, open contest every July. It has been going since 1664, apparently. Last summer a few tourists did it and made the local TV news.
No way I'll be trying, but I never saw anyone bellyflop or hurt themselves.
As a qualified diving coach I can say this. Olymoic divers dive off a ten meter high board when they hit the water they hit the water at about 32 mph at that height an incorrect entry can cause injury and even death. The maximum height at which it is possible for a trained diver to do a head first entry dive is about 90 feet or 30 meters. Dana kuntz an American held the world record for a competition high dive feet first entry at 176 feet. You can see this dive on you tube if you search Dana kuntz. This record has been beaten by Chinese divers. Stuntmen have done higher jumps from helicopters into water at about 200 feet. When the piper alpha oil rig caught fire some workers jumped from over 200 feet into the ocean and survived but some died. The reality is that any jump from over 10 meters is risky for an untrained person. Also for a trained diver anything over 90 feet is risky and requires specialist training.

I friend of mine states, when he was in the Navy (in the 70s), he would jump off a aircraft carrier(the deck)! Is this possible?
i didnt run today, to cold, no much snow

I'm no expert but I would guess if an aircraft carrier is floating in some water, that water is very deep!
That is great...
Here's a photo of sailors jumping off the deck of the USS Lexington after it was hit in the Battle of the Coral Sea in WWII:
Most survived.
Yes. I used to jump off the flight deck of HMS Bulwark when I was on my Royal Navy diver's course in 1978
If you're a qualified diving coach why do you talk about diving off a 10m "board"? Isn't the 3m diving competition off a board and the 10m competition off a platform?

i have made dives into water as high as 130 feet off cliffs and once i was thrown off a freeway bridge, so everything above 70 or so begins to cause some discomfort and more when you get older. i did my high dives head first. do it right or don't do it at all. it is dangerous.

Having jumped a bunch as a kid, and with no fear of heights having free soloed 2000' cliffs, some of those stunts give me the chills, even on the second viewing. Young hormones are wickedly talented and stupid at the same time.

You mean, like deep enough to float an aircraft carrier?
