yellow mushroom - Why do you think you feel better with some meat and fish in your diet? Should I keep my current fish intake?
I must acknowledge that it may be mental, but I think my problem was that I got tired of tofu/soy (which tend to be very processed foods, and I personally avoid eating them too often)and having to plan out and cook foods with beans/lentils/quinoa. I did and still do eat a lot of eggs, but I think that for me having a little more variety in my diet helped me enjoy protein sources instead of falling back on the same few all the time and being bored with it. As a result, I think I'm getting more quality proteins in my diet. Of course, it's all very personal depending on your tastes, willingness to cook/access to ingredients, etc. etc....
I'm a fan of fish, but I always seem to be hearing about dangerous mercury/heavy metal/toxin levels in fish (although I admittedly don't know as much about this as I wish I did) so just make sure you know what you're getting.
