Thanks for posting the pic... Loving the current iteration of this shoe.
8mm offset on the new pegasus? According to Nike the offset will be 10mm.....running warehouse measures it at 13mm.
bump...
Any feedback yet?
No bueno. Fans of ZE6 will not like the 7. Not a similar shoe at all. The midsole is entirely different. It no longer has that firm feel with the snug heel. The midsole is very soft and has exposed eva foam along the medial size. Very mushy under the arch.
Poor attempt. Give me the ZE6 midsole with the new Pegasus 31 upper. That would be a good shoe.
Thanks for the info. I'm surprised they would screw up such a good shoe.
Any one having sizing issues with the 7s? I wore a 10 in the 6s, which feels a tad too small in the 7s.
Is the arch in the ZE7 still long, high, and placed far back?
Also is there still that bump in the heel?
Bump.
would like to hear more reviews...
sizing from zoom elite 6 to 7 seems pretty true.
no more 'arch' support towards the heel.
the new elite is built on the pegasus last.. essentially its just a lightweight pegasus. huge change from the 6s.
Agree that it is almost nothing like the 6. Whereas the 6 felt like a solid training shoe, the 7 feels much more like a ultra light trainer with nominal cushioning. That said it's not a bad shoe. I just haven't felt comfortable using it as an every day trainer like I did with the 6. Much less stability too. My foot neve rolls in regular trainers but somehow does in the 7.

I agree with this and the below statement. It's not nearly substantial as the old elites were. I do like it, but its not going to be my every day trainer.
I liked the old Elite because it had the forefoot crashpad which I thought was protecting my feet a lot more than other smilar shoes (wave sayonara, kinvara, etc).
Now it feels a bit flimpshy an squishy almost like a kinvara. I wonder what changed so much to make it like this. Is the EVA different? Is it the lack of blown rubber on the entire outsole?
Given how much runners are dependent on their shoes, I am absolutely amazed at how UN-TRANSPARENT the running shoe industry is with their updates.
In other outdoor sports, say skiing or biking or something, the manufacturers are usually very clear on what changes inbetween versions. Granted there is less on the line with running shoes versus a pair of downhill skis or a bike, but a little more transparency would be nice...
Like are there even real people working on these shoes at Nike, or is the design team filled with a bunch of hipster, product engineering, hermits who have no connection to the outside world and just cruise around on fixie bikes, drinking coffee all day long in Portland while contemplating the meaning behind their next tattoo???????
