I’ve got a half marathon in 5 weeks time and I’m wondering how I should structure my tempo runs in the build up.
I was thinking:
Wk 1 - 7 miles
Wk 2 - 9 miles
Wk 3 - 10.5 miles
Wk 4 - 7 miles
Wk 5 - No tempo - race (Sunday)
My current pb is 72:50 and I have run 7mile tempo at 5:35 pace before.
My target is 71:50, what pace should I be running each tempo and what is the furthest tempo I should do?
