I live in america and I notice that in my work / social circle no one is really slim anymore. I often feel like this plays against me in a negative way where people are either stereotyping or wrongfully judging me based on appearance. Does anyone else have a similar experience?
I'm in my mid-20s and I'm very slim. Does society view this in a negative way?

Yeah somewhat.
Do you have a reason for being extra slim? In my opinion even those who are naturally slim that eat a decent amount and even hit the gym/ bodyweight exercise 3-4x a week look in good shape or can look in good shape.
I would say unless you are a sub 13:30 5k guy why only run? put on a bit of muscle. You'll look WAYY better and likely feel stronger in real life . -
Society does not view anything.

Society might not, but those broads you're trying to pick up do.
Real truth is right. Do a push up, pick up a weight. That emaciated runner look is a bit tough to handle....bobble head and all. -
generally girls aren't looking to wrap there arms around a tiny runner. And they certainly don't want a dude skinnier than them.
The exception is other runner girls as they understand your prowess (if you are any good and not hobby jogger) and far and away all my runner guy friends are dating runner girls. A couple are decent players and get girls but they are a lot more ripped and supplement a lot with gym/ running isn't the be all and end all for them. -
Wear a plaid one-sie and drink a lot of cocoa.

Have fun f#$king trailer trash.

The obese lifers at my office sometimes flip me $hit. One is pathetic, and kinda questions my sexuality. Usually it's just fun little quips, because secretly they're jealous. The women love it, and spend quite a bit of time chatting me up. I'm 5'-11" at 150; so slim but not Auschwitz emaciated.

You should probably back your statement up with some type of research. What is the typical woman's preferred male body? -
Women love Brad Pitt in Fight Club and he weighed maybe 155 pounds. You can help yourself a lot just by wearing decent clothes that fit, screw gaining 20 pounds of worthless muscle.

Who gives a s*** what others think.

What the hell does 5'-11" and 135lb get me?! -

Could not agree more. If you're comfortable in your own skin, who cares?
Thread reminds me Pat Porter's quote - I'm paraphrasing here,
"I never understood why skinny people are viewed as weak. Some of the strongest, most ferccious competitors I've known are skinny." -

Because some people actually enjoy being intimate with women. And your chances of that happening are a hell of a lot better if you don't weigh 135 pounds. -
Probably beat up and no love touch...

Mid-20s and very slim = effeminate hipster.
I have gotten more positive looks from women young and old alike now that I am 6-1 and 195 than I ever did at 6-1 and 145. -
As long as you're over 6 feet tall, it doesn't really matter how slim you are.
Except finding correct fitting work clothes can be a struggle. -

If you have confidence and are comfortable in your own skin, it will show, regardless of size. -

So your hypothesis is that males who actually gain weight are more likely to get laid? Ahh . . . no. -
Brad Pitt in Fight club was about 175.
