Nice tribute video to Valery Brumel. I haven't seen much good footage from this time period and this is the first time I noticed that they were just landing on what seems to amount to a pile of dirt (cinders?). I knew they didn't have pads but I hadn't really thought about the alternative.
Here is a video of some of Charles Austin's championship jumps (as well as his AR) with commentary from the man himself. The commentary is a bit of a mixed bag I think, but the footage is great
