The UCLA distance job is not a very high paying job. But someone like Meb Keflegezi or Brad Hudson might take the job on a whim. Other names to consider would be Rodney Rothoff and Scott Abbott. They don't put many scholarships in the middle and long distances at UCLA. But its a pretty good job if you don't mind living in expensive LA.
First off. What are you smoking? Meb would never, and neither would Brad. I don't think either would even entertain the notion. I agree on the pay. The listed salary for Braden at UCLA last year was $42,323.00 which includes monies made from camps, clinics, etc. That is actually a step up from where he started at a base of $37,500. The state has been in a salary freeze and shows no real sign of coming out of it's current bankrupt state, so making any leaps and bounds salary wise would be difficult.
The second issue is that Maynard would have to hire you. I can tell you one thing, Rothoff wouldn't have a chance. Geesh, where has that guy been anyway? Dropped off the radar for years now? Don't know if Abbott would even be interested in getting back in the game. He has a family and that salary in LA is WAY WAY below the poverty level. Better have a wife that can pull in some serious $$$ b/c camps and clinics won't cover the gap you need to survive in a place like that.

not a rumor. was announced either this morning or last night.
Brad Hunt, Matt Esche, Matt Sparks, Jeremy Rasmuessen, Kevin Jermym, Randy Hasenbank, Matt Roe all good young distance coaches that could fit if they are looking for distance coach
What happened to Carrie Lane @ Univ. of Nebraska??? She's a very good coach...did she get another job?!
Good coach? Perhaps, but struggled with recruiting.Wouldn't surprise me to see Andy Meyer take this job.

One of these guys don't belong.... Matt Esche.... Really?
Brad Hunt - Pretty entrenched at Wake, why move to another ACC school?
Matt Esche - Has been only a volunteer and assistant. Ever been in charge of a group or training plan? Not proven in any way.
Sparks - This guy has been at the same school for over a decade and hasn't really done anything of note. Average DI coach.
Rasmussen - Took over a very good Illinois squad and oversaw them as they got worse and worse until he finally was gone. Good coach? Maybe but he didn't show it in his chance at Illinois.
Jermyn - Not moving to another school. He's staying to help at Duke in a volunteer capacity.
Hassenbank - Not really young but a good coach. Does he want to be an assistant again?
Roe - Has done very well at Butler but is the head coach and coming off a podium finish. Would he want to be an assistant? Also, would have a hard time going to international route at ND.
Half your list is good but I don't see that they fit. The other half couldn't handle the job.

Randy Hasenbank = young??!!
A while back(past 5 or so years) every coach that was listed on this annual thread was "a great young coach" who was going to do BIG things. There was a very vocal group on here that was calling for "new blood" in the coaching ranks. It would be interesting to see who has paid the bills and who has sh*t the bed. From looking around, it appears that most have ended up in the latter category and haven't done much despite all the big claims of "doing it right" and "gonna build something special."
So who was a fraud and who is fo' real? You call it!
Richardson would seem to be a good fit at Nebraska.
Have you seen this posted somewhere? If so, please share the link.
Sparks is a very solid coach. He's coaching at Southern Illinois it's not like he's getting the cream of the crop there. He's developed some pretty solid runners and I think he would do a well at a bigger program.
Its great that you are his friend but he has been there for 15? years. There is a reason he has not progressed his career. He may very well be a solid coach where he is and in that conference. Again he has not really done anything of note and certainly nothing that says he could lead a distance program like Notre Dame and be contending nationally (as ND should be doing).

Adrian Myers, what has he done as a coach? but if the trend of hiring coaches who have never coached continues, then it's his job. After all he is already there on staff, would be an easy hire and transition for the athletes.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
