Running Hubris - welcome aboard! Love your handle. Love the reason behind it even more. Best of luck with that goal!
xenonscreams - sounds like XC nats was a great time, one way or another. :)
VF Runner - nice of you to bop in! I'm glad you are getting to enjoy some extra family time now despite being swamped with everything else. Look forward to hearing more about your training in 2014.
Hans E. - Welcome back, and I surely hope you continue posting so I can follow your training. We have almost identical marathon goals this spring - I am not sure of my target race right now, somewhere in the late March - mid May time frame.
Renewed Marathoner - professional massages are the best! I always feel like a "renewed marathoner" after a good session. :)
Muebele - there's an outside chance that I will do NJ Marathon also, so I'll keep that in mind. I am interested to see how you do with your modified Hansons' Plan. Looks like the snow will finally disappear this weekend! :)
NJ truth - In the big picture, you do a lot of fast training on the track and and the roads, which doesn't always immediately translate to muck and mire XC courses right out the gate. You may not have performed up to your own personal standards, but honestly, how many guys did you hear from that were THRILLED with their performances on Saturday?
FWIW, an alumni from my high school (he was a 16:0X XC then) took down German Fernandez. What does that tell you? :)
You are meant for bigger and better things than a good showing in that race. It will be exciting to see those things happen when they come. Truth.
TheGarbageDisposal - I think having that manageable structure is good for me. So far I am 2.5 weeks in and still going strong. Knowing I have a recovery week to look forward to next week also helps keep me motivated! :)
reed - best of luck on the start of a new cycle. Any goals yet?
Another - must be reunion week here on LRC, great to have you back! Let's hope Boston 2014 treats everyone on the thread a little more nicely this go round. :)
