I'm now a week past running a PR in the marathon (my second) and I'm finding my legs are still pretty trashed. I'm curious to hear how some people choose to recover (cross-training, light running, nothing) and for how long?
I've not run a step since the finish line. And I've been pounding beers like I'm in college again. I expect this to continue until well after Thanksgiving, when I'm hoping that my legs will feel a bit more rested and my mind ready for another training period.
For reference, my average weekly mileage was ~55-60 for most of the year.
