I am a 1:49 800m guy but am only 4:08 for the mile and 3:48 for the 1500m. I feel like I could be much faster for for 1500/mile, like 3:40-42 and 3:59-4:00 with my speed. My 400m pr is 49 relay split so I have plenty of speed and i have run 8:32 for 3000m. I run about 70 miles per week. Any suggestions for improving my my mile time? Id like to hear from guys that have made the jump from sub 4:10 to sub 4:00.
This is not a troll thread, this is my first year post-collegiate with no other option than to coach myself, Id like to get a serious discussion going that could help others as well.
