I like how Mutai runs; he draws strength from the inside as he looks down and punishes the pavement.

Vail 24 miles 2:01:59. Okay it wasn't that solid. 2:13:xx pace. But I guess it's a slow day and he's still top American.
thank you - my computer crashed and then the website tracker wouldn't let me back on without paying :(
Meb hasn't dropped out but he's going to finish in like 2:25 if he's tays in.
Mutai won. 2:08

I thought I heard the announcers mention someone else as the top american. Didn't catch the name but ended with -ski.

Wat
Somehow it's still always surprising that over 40,000 people participate in the major marathons. An entire small city, wow.
Anyway good luck woohoo!
Best observation so far

You could make a lot of $$ selling donuts that last mile!
I also like Kebede's running. Very deliberate and that's waht makes him a good racer. He picked the guys 1 by 1 as if they are helpless.
Come on Hastings, Zip up your Yuki suit!

I heard that too, maybe they were talking about the women? I am using the NYC Marathon athlete tracker.
Pam Anderson update?
Who had the bigger grimace, Amy or Yuki?
Vail 2:13:23. Is the feed behind by a minute or so?
Does Kiprotich get to keep the half million?
Yuki and Hastings in the same shot for a second... Both with the exact same grimace... Except I think that's business as usual for yuki.
Hartmann dropped out after mile 21 but Meb still in it. 2:12 at 24.
I really have no interest in being part of this silly argument, but this post made me laugh out loud because it reminds me so much of "Intelligent Design." She runs fast because God her made her run fast...stop asking questions or trying to understand complex things!

To think otherwise is astonishingly ignorant and arrogant given the level of complexity of the human body in motion and the huge differences that a millimeter difference in length of bones, placement of attachment of tendons, size of every muscle compared to others within its group as well as its opposing group or an ounce in weight differential between parts of the body. It is nothing short of hilarious that these...ummm...gurus think that they have even the most rudimentary idea what an individual runner's form 'should' look like.
They're going to cut to a break as the top American finishes? Nice.
