GOOD JOB LANNI!! Lanni was great in college, it is nice to see her doing well after attending university of TN at Chattanooga. I had the pleasure of knowing her while she competed with utc. I was on the mens team, I remember lanni and Shannon womanck practicing with some of our not as talented (yet still very hard workers and great guys) group of runners on the mens team and lanni and Shannon would run them into the ground like they were both men. Tremendous job Lanni you deserve it!

I noticed that in Amsterdam marathon today as well. Women's race wasn't shown at all and the broadcast ended after the men's finish. Quite odd.
What coverage were you watching? They had lots of cut ins to the women's race. Even had an interview with the two Canadian ladies.

There was no coverage I know of other than CBC, and there was not one second of the women in the hour preceding the men's finish. (That's when I was watching; maybe the coverage was 99% women's for the first hour, but I doubt it.)
They did eventually turn to the two Canadian women breaking the Canadian record...but only after the men missed it.
I understand that the men's leaders had an interesting race going on, and Gillis and Watson were legitimately chasing the record. But the women's race came as a bit of an afterthought after over 60 minutes of silence on it. I don't know how you could suggest otherwise. It was hard to know there even WAS a women's race much of the time!
I'm just reflecting what a non-running female viewer had to say about the first marathon she ever watched on TV. Ignore it if you want!
