He doesn't go hard every day. In fact it looks like he never goes hard. Every day seems to be either moderately easy or just plain moderate.
I read that and was darned impressed.
Im sure some young guys reading that think it's easy, but once you are over 40 most of us dont recover well enough to attempt anything close to this.
Kudos to him for being able to handle that much work at those paces.
2:23 marathon time equates to VDOT of 70. His "easy" pace should be 6:17/mile. So he is running slightly faster than his EP, but substantially slower than his MP (5:28/M).
For me, "hard" means at least faster than MP, even for a marathoner.
