Not being eligible is a huge limiting factor.

I was hoping to see Adams State contend for the win. Their top two guys are great, even top 3. But then they fall off and don't really have much depth.

It looked like Adams was missing one of there Key runners.

Ward is ineligible? How so? Academically? BYUs honor code? (Perhaps he was drinking coffee before the races after reading the current caffeine thread!) The BYU website shows him having a year of NCAA eligibility left and says he was an academic all-American . . . ??
