About 95% of the negative comments towards the chick on this thread are directly from his fingertips, so yeah.

You know that for a fact?
I am losing my cool. I need proof or I need to do something or know what to do.
If this video is actually released, and it doesn't show a punch to the face, I hope the tri guy gets big money from suing the Race Director and, the girl gets DQed for blocking as well as banned from all racing events for endangering children and others by taking them on courses when not even entered.
No, I titled the thread using the word "punched" then on page 2 or 3 admitted that I should actually have said "shoved." This was based on the two cell phone pics originally on her friend's blog. At that point the understanding--among everyone discussing the incident, as far as I recall--was that the tri-guy shoved her in the back as she backed into his path. I have a hard time believing that anyone genuinely claims that the guy punched her in the face. I'm certain that did not happen.
well because....... wrote:

You put it in the title of the thread.
Huh. Doubted I'd ever see that.
At least ST isn't Vintage 1996
Ok, seen the video, reinstate the dude, DQ the lady who walked sideways backwards into him. Only sexism could explain why the reverse happened.
Slight push. And she was backing into him and shouldn't been on the course in the first place. Much ado about nothing.

No he could have easily gone around (or by) her without pushing her - How about DQ both
Does he say "Get out of the way"? Or is that someone else?
It sounds like him saying "get out of the way" after he shoved her.
They're both at fault.
She shouldn't have been walking backwards on the course.
He had plenty of room to go around.
It almost looks like he may have gone out of his way to shove her.
Now that a video has been posted - Blair coming on here a under few more fake screen names to defend himself and trash the girl in 3,2,1...
No he could have easily gone around (or by) her without pushing her...
+1. There was tons of room.
It reminds me of when I see people pulling out of side streets and driveways and not looking both ways. If I'm feeling aggressive (and dumb), I will not hesitate to run in front of the car and yell/put up my hands to be a dick.
Other times, I realize that's a dumb thing to do and I slow down or go behind or make a huge loop in front so they have plenty of time to see me.
This guy saw her backing into the road and decided to be aggressive and hold his line and make contact. That was a conscious decision on his part.
No excuse. He's still a douchebag (what's his name? Blair Cullen from ESPN?)
But I agree, the woman probably should have been DQ'd too.
The Old-Timer in the blue and white shorts jogging along in the background somehow makes it all worthwhile.
It almost looks like he may have gone out of his way to shove her.
I thought the same.
Yeah, sounded like he said "get out of the way" as he was running by. That got him DQd?? He put his hand out to make sure she didn't continue backing into him. That was in no way a "punch in the face," or enough to cause bruising! She was totally oblivious to the course and those competing around her. SHE should be DQd.
