Shall I forward you an annual or quarterly report? Or is that too much to handle? Perhaps you would just prefer to be spoon fed by Wall Street.

You come across as being very desperate.
...and you naive....

I was sitting out on the the infield of my school's track, enjoying a warm fall day before a good run. Heard the news and felt the world shimmy and shake.

Thanks for reminding us!
I'm sure another 508 pt drop could happen again any time.
Although, I'm not sure that would justify running scared for the past 3 years.

Too funny. Igy steps in it again.
Greetings one and all!
Nice to see the sane regulars still around in this thread.
I have been busy with my projects, but they are now coming to an end--the only thing left is to decide whether to go ahead with a foreign property acquisition.
Which leaves me liquid. Once again I have beaten the markets, but I have had to work basically full-time to do it, and there was much work managing risk...but I think my working days are near finished.
Which leaves me considering...the markets! Yes we all know how I feel about them, that they are completely bogus and entirely controlled, but I have also stated my opinion that the absolute fix is in, with governments and central banks buying, circuit-breakers in place, unfunded liability mandates increasing, etc. that they will not again drop precipitously.
I'm curious about the pulse of the board, since I've been away...what about buying in at these levels? What would you buy, if you wanted to hold for 2-5 years?
Yes Igy I already know your perspective, thanks!
BTW back when I asked you guys about bitcoin I bought a bunch, and have just sold it, at an enormous profit. I now hold none, but might pick up a bit as I re-arrange things. I wish I had bought more than I did, what a joke. I think I might get a little bit of ETH also, again just for fun. I sometimes find myself fantasizing about what life would be like had I bought $1M worth...
So what say you guys? Where are the US and European markets going from here?

To this day we have never gotten an explanation as to what really caused that fall off the cliff in one day.
Somebody cheated and cleaned up...but the suckers have to think the market cannot be manipulated.

muy loco,
Hussman runs a fully hedged portfolio whereas index investors are not and remain weighted relative to the index. Neither of which has anything to do with the three companies I mentioned, that have had little organic growth and meet their EPS guided numbers through rising debt used for stock buybacks. If I had to choose, however, I would rather own those stocks than their growth counterparts of NOW, CRM and CMG.
Igy
Maserati,
Good to see you posting. You sound like you are doing well.
In regards to Bitcoin, or crypto currencies generally, I would like to see the concept explained in three sentences or less.
Here is a recent article on a related blow-up.

As you stated you don’t want my view, but this is my contribution to the subject.

Proud that my trolling was the 2nd post in what became an epic s-itshow of a thread.

OK, and I suppose you are so stupid you don’t realize all your index funds are packaged and sold by Wall Street. Or that your God Jack Bogel is a Wall Street creation.
You are such a dump sack of crap.
The point was that you talk down about WS all while being a shill for them. It has nothing to do with my personal investments of which you know nothing. That seems to be a trend for you....talking about things that you know nothing about.
Yet you have no problem doing the same to me. Everything I have said or posted is exactly the opposite of Wall Street meme. Yet everything you post is word for word the Wall Street meme. And the same can be said of almost everyone who posts on DGTD.
Of course the truth hurts. That’s why you and your clones get so angry about it.

The truth is that you cannot defend what you write. That is why you resort to insults and change the subject. You’ve sold your few remaining clients on the narrative that they will do better than most when the next crash happens. Meanwhile the smart money has left you and your Muppets behind.
Sure, and that is why I have been in the business for over twenty years and you play your silly games. Hope you can rely on more than Social Security.
You’ve "been in the business..." because you have a partner who knows his ass from his elbow. You are the weak link. While you spend all day on the internet, he is taking care of business.
