If the team is pulled, the Sochi games could get cancelled or moved. Russia has a lot of problems internally and with its gov't.

there are some suggestions by members of congress for a boycott of the winter games on the horizon. why some fat slob of a politician is able to play with the career and chance that most will never have again in representing their country at the olympics shocks me. it is nothing short of disgusting.

Any sources? I'm not pleased with what we've been doing with our drones and disappointed with much of our foreign policy under any of our recent presidents, but I'm guessing what Obama has done with drones pales in comparison to the invasion of Iraq in terms of causalities of innocent civilians.

I don't think he knows we have a team going. If it were an olympics he would be concerned or canceling. He will find out we have a team in Moscow when sports center mentions a doping scandal there between pre season football and golf.
