What is this all about? I'm not spamming. I'm concerned that our hero is being used. The article refers to a 101 year-old and shows a picture of Ed.

Ed should be getting paid for those ads.
FTC should shut them down for the BS about the 101 year old marathoner. Ed Whitlock should shut them down for commercial misappropriation. But, Ed is such a carefree guy, he probably would just get a good chuckle seeing his picture on that ad.
Isn't Fauja Singh the only centenarian known to have completed a marathon?
Yes he is, but the marketing shtick says the 101 year-old finished the marathon in 5.5 hours. His real PB is 5:40.XX.
Both men are tough cookies. I don't like their work being glad-handed.
Now we know Ed Whitlock's secret!
"when he ate a combination of broccoli, green tea extract and spirulina his energy levels dramatically increased. "
The ad doesn't say Ed actually used the product. Just another snake oil salesman. Jump from one conclusion to another.
I just emailed the link to the licensing department at The National Post, which is the newspaper that owns that photo. It'll probably be down soon.

I am not sure who owns the photo but I don't think it's the National Post. It may have been photo shopped. I think it could be owned by the Waterfront marathon, from 2005.
