I don't see why that should matter. What he does in the privacy of his bedroom is his business!

I have a feeling the PED is not a steroid or EPO, it probably is a stimulant or diuretic from in a supplement he was taking. Perhaps it was a supplement provided by one of his handlers, which still won't matter because the athlete is responsible and can't pass off the blame. Also, there are a couple of supplement makers whose products have the USADA/WADA seal of approval, why would someone take anything else?
Ok, first of all I didn't post the BS about the distance runners.
Now I will share Tyson's positive is a stimulant of the higher degree. Not steroids or EPO. I'm thinking more along Blake's positive that will end his year and perhaps a ban into next season.
I am thinking all these stimulant busts are going to either lead to lighter penalities for all or tougher because the ADA's are having their full of them.
I am on one who has previously argued that stimulant, most of which are only banned for meets, should be banned all the time as my coaching experience has shown that the impact of one on the banned list given for legit medical use caused an amazing practice session in starts and overall sprint times. Being able to train while stimulated is performance enhancing as the improved practice leads to improved meet performances but so far my protesting has not resulted in them being removed from the non-competition ok list.
I also recently posted a couple posts on here that were removed that I think the Brojos now realize I am right on. There are track names on the Biogenisis lists that MLB has as well as other sports. I still can't believe even as our track busts broke yesterday and we await MLB's decision that media aren't thinking you know there has to be more than these couple dozen baseball players seeing this doc in Miami right? Some media with power needs to not let these docs get protected. Balco wasn't just baseball or track and this isn't either.
I am also told the new testing proceedures are much higher so don't be surprised that many more busts occur in the next few weeks as the new equipment were implemented.
Do you know the track names related to Biogenesis or just that there are track names?
Thanks for the heads up.

Believe whatever you like. And yes the plaintiff has, legally, the burden of proof in the case. But in order to counter the plaintiff's case, the defendant would obviously have to prove that the plaintiff's case is unsubstantiated. I.E. that the information he was giving out was not specifically about the plaintiff.
Are you playing play lawyer?
What does the OP have to be worried about?
What he said was true! Truth is a defense against libel/slander.
"News conference to come but a big US star has tested positive. I know who but not saying."
Even if the OP had said, "News conference to come but Tyson Gay has tested positive." he'd be protected because it was true. The guy had some inside info clearly.
was funny though
the thread getting punked about the distance guys
I think the OP knows his shit looking at some of the other posts from him/her.
Please contact us OP. I will keep your confidentiality but want to get to the bottom of this Biogenesis stuff.

Any number of people at USAT&F and in the Tyson Gay support team could have been privy to this info at the time the OP posted. Plus a bunch of folks at the WADA/USADA/IAAF level had the info. Hard to keep a secret once x number of folks become involved.

say what?
Looks like the blames being put on to Xeureb:
"According to Paul Doyle, the athletes’ United States-based manager, Powell and Simpson were expecting the arrival of the police but kept Xeureb in the dark about it.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Doyle said: “Asafa and Sherone have been working with WADA to arrange this police raid, so to speak.
After obtaining the necessary search warrant, Italian police arrived at the hotel on Sunday evening and searched the rooms of Powell, Simpson and Xeureb, before removing all supplements and medicines. Police said around 50 substances had been sent to a laboratory in Italy to test for the presence of performance-enhancing drugs."
And no one's letting on who the person is Gay's got lined up to blame:
"In an interview in USA Today, Gay’s long-term coach, Lance Brauman, denied that he was person who betrayed the sprinter's trust but would not reveal who Gay had been alluding to. Brauman said: “He trusted somebody and it proved to be a mistake. This person or people that he put his trust into had no affiliation with me or anyone else in my training group."
I have made some excuses for inadvertent stimulant use for certain types of stimulants and especially for athletes prior to the mid-90s. I am aware that stimulants are rampant, they are everywhere, diet, OTC meds, soft drinks and even naturally occur in certain foods. (It is a mind field.) I am also aware that pro athletes in all sports take supplements and that they are usually provided by their handlers. I also know that a lot of athletes, like people in general are lazy and leave a lot of things up to their handlers. I also know that there are a category of pharmaceutical grade stimulants whose sole is purpose is to stimulate as in athletic performance. With that said...
3 questions:
There are several supplement manufactures who's products are " Informed-Sport Registered Products" with the "USOC, USADA and WADA, etc., seal of approval and it is written right on the packaging, why would an athlete or handler use any other products?
My amateur knowledge of chemical chromatography tells me that a stimulant's certifiable level is only detectable with in about 72 hours. Most dirty athletes and handlers know this, could it be possible that one of t&f highest profile athletes and his handlers did not know this? Unless Gay was caught off guard and/or he took a blood test. Has USADA/WADA instruments and processes advanced to a point where athletes and handlers did not expect, and in which case, might we see a barrage of positives pretty soon?
How is it possible that 2 fairly high ranking people at USATF was unaware of Gay's positive as late as a day and a half ago? Is it possible they denied knowing or really did not know? And, how is it possible that an outsider (assuming) was able to break a story when the USADA secure chain of custody based on my count would be the Lab/USADA/the athlete and the appropriates level of the sport's NGB?
A final note, I disagree with your assessment of stimulants performance enhancing abilities. A stimulant isn't going develop muscle or improve your neuromuscular response. A stimulant's greatest quality is in the performance more so in how it makes you feel and not so much in training. And, in the performance, I am not sure how much they make you do what you are not physically capable anyway. When stimulants are used in training they can make you feel like you can do more and with a higher intensity, but when used long term and consistently they require higher dosages and there is eventually a point of diminishing returns.
