Hey guys well i am going to be a senior in high school in the fall. My PR in the 800m is a 2:05 but i wasn't too tired after the race. I Really need to get under the 2 minutes and get to 1:55 atleast. I do not do the Mile really or the 400m just 800m. But next year coach is forcing me to do the 4x400m and 1600m.
As of now i am following Hal Higdon's Summer Cross Country plan. From week 1 to 10 until my XC seanson starts. My PR in the 5k was 18:40 without summer training and was my first time doing it so i hope this year i can go down to a 16:30-16:30 atleast. I'm training on my own which is very boring but i keep running anyway! So do you guys think i can run 1:55 next year? or sub 1:55? and I'm talking 1:55 for spring Track & Field not Winter.
I've also made some huge improvements from this year winter- spring seaon. My 800m time was 2:38 and i bumped in down to 2:05. I am 5'10.5" and weigh 135 pounds. I am willing to do the hardest training to get to those numbers. The 800m is my favorite race.
