I'm wondering if anyone can offer me advice on my ever increasing heat intolerance. Over the past 2+ years my heat intolerance as continually gotten worse. I have been checked for thyroid issues and all results were negative.
I am at the point now where I feel miserable running and just being outside if it's warmer than 65°and the sun is out. My idealized temperature is now 40° and feel like I begin to overheat at any temperatures much higher than that. I look forward to cloudy or snowy days and any chance I can get I go up in the mountains in an ongoing search for cool weather.
The peculiar thing about this though is that I used to actually run really well in the heat when I was younger. I noticed a definite switch in tolerance the winter of 2011 after I had a nasty case of the flu that knocked me out for 10 days. I don't feel like I have been the same since.
I have thought it could be caused by nutrition or maybe stress. Although, I feel my diet has improved since then, I will admit the stress levels have gone up considerably since I graduated.
Does anyone have any advice or any sort of experience getting over this?
