Mr. Rupp showed astounding speed this winter with a 3:50 mile and 7:30 3K, and his endurance has CERTAINLY improved since he ran 26:48 in 2011. An over the hill Bekele is no match for Galen at this point at 10K, and if Gebrhiwet peaks too early Rupp has a great shot at winning the 5K.
Mo has lost a lot of training time this year, and I wholeheartedly believe that combined with Mo's age and Galen's steady improvement, it will be enough to close the gap.
You may make fun of Alberto Salazar's obsession with getting everything right, but YOU can rest assured that Galen will line up at Moscow perfectly peaked and ready to steal his legacy.
Mark my words, (and bump this thread when it happens), Galen Rupp, the greatest American-born runner of all time, WILL be a world champion in 2013.
