I recently started the Cto5K program again. I had made it about 5 weeks into the program last year before my left ankle started to give out and I had to stop running. At that time I had purchased a pair of ASIC gel 1170's based on the recommendation of the sales person at a sporting goods store who said I over prorated.
This year my ankle is feeling better and I decided to try again. This time I found a running store and was told I was a neutral runner and picked up the Mizuno Wave Rider 16. I completed my fourth run in these shoes today and every time I feel discomfort on the outside of my right foot.
Could this discomfort from poor form, adjusting to new shoes, getting used to running again or just a poor shoe choice for me? I'm a total newbie when it comes to this and I'm not sure what I should do. Should I stick with the, and my foot will adjust? Or see if I can exchange them for something else?
