What is the consensus these days about running with a minor sickness? I have a head/neck cold with a fair amount of congestion but no fever and it hasn't really made it down to my chest too badly. I will cough when exerting myself, etc. I have taken a couple of days off really due to having to nurse everyone one else in the house as they have it worse. If I start back up with running at this point, do I improve things by breaking up the congestion or would I be risking worsening things by getting run down? I have a 5K race that I use for a fitness eval in 12 days and a half marathon in 4 weeks. Thoughts?
