My long term running goal right now is to go sub 16 (like with in a year or so) and I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on how to tweak my training as I've seem to hit a platue. Starting two years ago I upped my mileage from around 40 all the time, to around 70-75 for base and 55-60 during racing season. As you can see I also learned how to perodize. What this did is give me huge imporvments I dropped from an 17:53 (5K) and 10:55 (2 mile) to a 16:38 (5k), 34:44 (10k), and 1:17:52 (half marathon) in a matter of like 8 months. However, for the past year I have been running pretty much the same times, lots of 16:40s and just sub 35s. So what should I add? Should I increase mileage?, it already seems pretty high. I was thinking of adding a weight lifting routine during base as I know people who have had success with that. Any input would be much appreciated
