For those who care about their finish times and long-term development, can you race a 5K all-out every week or every 2 weeks without suffering negative consequences? For me, I start to experience symptoms of overtraining.
Over-racing: Racing so much that it negatively effects your goal race(s).
5k is just a warmup for me.
When I get to the latter half of a season I can race every weekend just fine. I'm usually not as worried about getting in a long run at the end of the week most of the time during this period, so it's not that big of a deal
