Can you name some very good and competitive programs that have sub par track facilities?

Georgetown doesn't have a 400m track.
Texas A&M has a horrible outdoor track. They host no outdoor meets and travel every weekend of the outdoor season.

What happenned? They had one in 2000. It was one of the 'springiest' tracks I had ever run on. Very fast. Did they tear it apart or something?
Colorado
There are plenty of D3 schools with huge endowments and no tracks.
University of Portland - still no track after athletes were told they would only be without a track for one year - in 1983.

I take that back, I missed the part of the title to the thread where it says "best universities".
Well, that is why they have had Texas A&M relays at Texas for the past 6 years..
It's the opposite, but North Carolina A&T is a terrible school yet they have a strangely good track complete with a stadium.
Boston College.
When I was a kid they had a nice outdoor track in the stadium and what was, at the time, a decent flat track indoors. I think Doug Flutie, personally, put astro turf over both of them.

I didn't know UP had fanboys ?
Oklahoma states track is pretty bad, surprised it can take a spike. Amazing that they can perform good times with such a bad track
I dunno about this, last year they had two women run :57 over the hurdles, a couple guys run 47low for 400m and a 1:49 800m male. And I know that they are not fully funded.
Colorado's track is mondo, just no stands. Not exactly fan friendly but very fast. Ran Big XII's there in 2008

Also Morgan St in Baltimore. Actually it may well be decent school, but its track is definitely nice.

And their English department too, apparently.
