Running the WC Marathon means missing out on a big payday at Chicago or NY. Not going to happen!

It's funny, Americans always say this kind of thing.
All of the elite woman are shooting for the "A" standard as they know it will be harder to achieve at nationals , weather at Drake sucks for distance.
We will see a few sub 32 efforts.
BTW , rain is called for this weekend in the bay area.
Um, I just checked the entries, and Shalane isn't entered. Anyone know what's up with that?
Whyyyy didn't Shalane run world XC if she wanted the 10k qualifier so bad? She only needed a top 15 finish and it's basically the same time of year AND Spence got 13th who she can easily beat.

She's in the updated entry list.

Goucher had been injured, as evidenced by her half-marathon last month (1:11:49), and given what she says on her Twitter page ("It's gonna be ugly"), she sounds less than confident.
Shalane gonna look good and dominate the competition at the same time
Kick some butt
I guess traveling back and forth to Poland disrupts her training schedule more than just moving down the coast to California?

Anyone think Spence can run a 31:45 and that 15 deep might be a bit generous for an automatic A-standard status? If IAAF was using the award to entice runners to participate in WXC, it didn't seem to have worked.
Considering that women she beat have run 31:29 and 31:47, no.

They are the hottest looking runners on our elite team, so they can do whatever they want.

Because nobody like's food stamps douche
Wow, an all-out 10k with just over 2 weeks left, interesting. I wonder if that is considered optimal by Salazar or if they are trying to have the cake and eat it too. With marathon fitness available it must be hard to pass up the opportunity for the qualifier. I guess it's reasonable. I'll be doing a 10M tempo myself - we'll see who runs faster on Patriots Day.

Salabar was never Flanagan's coach and hasn't been Goucher's coach for awhile now.

Uhm, ever heard of Jordan Hasay?
I hope she does well, I've always followed her dad's running and it was interesting watching Neely come up through the ranks, however, I think her recent PR at 10k being over 30sec off the A standard says more than her beating a couple women, with the A standard, in a mudder. It'll be fun to see how the trials race plays out. Hopefully there are a few women just outside of the A standard pushing the pace to make the time. Either way, good luck to Spence.
Wow what the hell was I thinking when I posted that, I wasn't even drunk either
Eat that sh!t Kara. Does that answer the question whether or not Shalane is a good teammates?
1. The goal was the A standard
2. With the Marathon so close it should be done with the least amount of effort
3. Kara will need help to be able to do it.
Shalane said EFF you to both Kara and the Boston Marathon. What a selfish bitch.
